It Must Have Been Difficult Growing Up As My Son
I have come to realize that for most of my life I had no examples on how to live well. Not from a health perspective but from a place of balance. You see be believe parents are equipped properly and are supposed to teach a child about life. They are supposed to help their child that they are loved unconditionally. Not with and expectations other than to know they are loved no matter who they are. I was not one of those children. Now some might see that statement as one of blame, yet it isn't. To see it from my eyes today it gives me a feeling of sadness for my parents. I am sure they thought they were doing their best however, I am not sure they were given the necessary tools to deal with their own lives, let alone helping their child grow up as a balanced individual. Instead they let a little boy grow up in a world of loneliness and not giving him the tools to negotiate his journey through life as he aged.
